time for some positive…

one person that has inspired me more than anyone this year is Alexis Jones. I discovered her through Sophia Bush… which is going to take a whole separate post on its own about her. (i think marshall cox is the only one who truly understand my obsession with her) lol. anyways. to take a break and put some effort into more a more positive mind-set i decided to focus on and highlight someone who has brought me inspiration and encouragement through this time in my life. and like i said, that’s is Alexis Jones

I am currently in the middle of her book I AM THAT GIRL. And it is blowing my mind and bringing me a sense of empowerment and self-love that I’ve never learned about before. i HIGHLY recommend this book. men and women. its amazing and its changing my life and i haven’t even finished it… wow. anyways i just thought it would be cool to copy and paste some of the things she has posted on her Instagram that have brought me encouragement and that i really just enjoy reading over and over again.

here are some of the posts from Alexis Instagram that inspired me more than anything. her whole page is amazing but she’s are what stuck out to me. go check it out and follow her and all that jazz to see more amazing stuff i know she will be doing in the future.

but seriously, i feel like these can really help someone. just take the few minutes to read each of her captions below her pictures. she has a lot of wisdom & so much love for humanity. its beautiful and very uplifting. anyways… enjoy. i know i did.  i tried to keep them in order of her postings but idk how good i did at that… oh well. ENJOY and be INSPIRED and ENCOURAGED.

Searching for your Unicorn in a sea full of jackasses is never easy!! The silver lining is that love is SO worth the hunt!! Finding your person makes all the shady, unworthy, immature, disappointment-riddled, heartbreaks you stumble across… worth it. Trust me!! There will be a day that you stare into the eyes of a person, so worthy of your love, and you will smile and say, “I would go through all of that S#%! a thousand

Awesome relationship aren’t easy… They require a ton of work and in a culture based on instant gratification and convenience it can feel counter-intuitive. If you are in love; regardless of distance, of busy schedules or anything else that might stand in the way… If you really want it, you will find a way to make it happen. I’m not saying it’s easy- but true, mind blowing love is worth the fight and it’s worth whatever inconveniences come with it. Oh yeah… And thank god for face time, especially when you’re in different continents! Having a badass relationship may require a lot of hard work, sacrifice, loyalty, and determination… But your ROI is 1000000% worth it! PS- @bradleybbuckman I love you and thanks for showing up every day and doing the “work” with me 🙂 #lifetimeteammate #luckygirl

Chase it down and fight for it today… Whatever that may be for you!! The temptation to quit may be intense, the voice inside your head taunting you to give up, but DON’T. Repeat after me, “You got this! You got this! You got this!!” Our thoughts become our reality and it’s your duty to kickass today or as we say in Texas, “to give ’em hell!” Don’t give up… Not on this day, you have more in your tank so buck up because YOU GOT THIS!! #yourtuesdaypeptalk

Dream until you have no dreams left in you, then take a deep breath and dream a LOT more. The future of our world, literally depends on the beauty of what your mind thinks up… So why not dream in shades of SPECTACULAR?!
IMG_3764.PNG
Being the kind of person who chases their dreams and fights to pursue their passion is an almost guaranteed more difficult path… But damn it’s worth it!! To spend a life chasing down your destiny, falling down and getting back up with unwavering purpose, knowing that no matter how hard it gets and how much you want to quit, that it simply isn’t an option. This post is for my fellow dreamers who have yet to wave their white flags, who are working their asses off and who refuse to give up… You realize that we might be just crazy enough to change the world. #nevergiveup #yourmondaypeptalk #keepkickingass

I lovingly ask you today, what are you waiting for? There will always be a booming voice in your head preaching fear and doubt, but TODAY I dare you to replace them with faith and trust. I date you to believe that your dreams are worth pursuing because your destiny is not merely an option, it’s the only way your soul knows how to exist- in a world in which you are fighting to leave your unique stamp on this special time in history… So yeah, start making things happen. Like. Today.

May we all have the courage to inject more bravery, more ferocity and more freedom into every area of our life… And may we have the courage to live and to love with reckless abandon.

Inevitably we find whatever we are looking for… So make beauty your intention. Look for the beauty in every situation and your silver lining will appear in the greyest of rain clouds and your moments of joy will be magnified. Our lives are what we make of them… So search for remarkable, you might just find some of it today:)

Be unapologetic about how you choose to live your life. My darling, this is your time to shine… So turn up the music, throw glitter in the air, dance your face off and be the badass you were meant to be.

True beauty. May we all aspire to such… @iamthatgirl

was that not amazing? do you not feel so inspired by just those few things she has put out to the world? i do and its time i start focusing more on the positive. because i plan to be THAT girl. I’m working on being THAT GIRL. ill have to do a separate post all about “I AM THAT GIRL” once i finish the book and really get a well-rounded outlook on it. but trust me, if its half as great as the first half i can’t wait to finish the rest. have a good day and know that someone values and loves you… even if it’s just me through this computer screen. whoever you are reading this… know that you are loved.
